To coordinate total rewards plans to an organizations strategic operations the company must by communicating effectively to the team memberships regarding wages, benefits, work life balance, career development and reviews. Post Pandemic the workforce has evolved. The workforce is requesting more from companies. When my parents started their careers the benefit package was strictly medical, dental and vision. Now people are requesting more like additional perks with the benefit package. Including more retirement money or additional resource from Employee Assistance Programs. Work life balance is promoted in my company as part of the benefits package. I can work from home three days a week or report to the office daily. The choice is mine to make. It gives me the feeling that I have some control in my work life. More developmental courses are offered to assist with the overall concept of a total reward package. Reviews are now view as part of the development or goals versus what one must improve to keep their jobs. Wages make up one part of the total rewards. The work force is driven my so much more than just the dollar. Happy to see many companies are now realizing that.
