respond to the following post: Onboarding is incredibly important to the employee experience and performance. I joined the company I work for in December 2012 and will be celebrating my 11 year anniversary in just 10 days! I joined the company as a customer service agent, which included a 12 week onboarding program that varied between classroom training and on-the-job training with additional support from subject matter experts. This was a really positive onboarding experience because it was well designed, I had a knowledgeable Trainer, and there was a fun/competitive culture. The onboarding classroom training includes a mix of lecture, discussion, self-guided, small group activities, online training and more - which really helped to keep it interesting. There was also gamification within the onboarding training which made it more fun to learn about the company, products, and services. The least positive part of the onboarding experience was whenever I felt overwhelmed by the amount of information. There was so much information being shared that it would sometimes feel like an info dump and I wasn't sure that I'd retain it
