The project I was managing was at work and it involved leading our company meeting. It was managed by an itinerary of what we were going to discuss. From the readings, "the most successful teams are also defined by a clear understanding of where they are going as well as a shared commitment from members to do what it takes to get there" (Griffith & Dunham, 2015). This alone was a good starting foundation, but some things I wish I would have incorporated from the readings include things such as the 'SMART' acronym when managing this meeting project. The acronym stands for "specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound" (Griffith & Dunham, 2015). This would have been beneficial because it would have meant I had it organized and prepared in order to meet our goal as a team. I think it would be helpful for the team leader to have the responses from the assessment for all group members. It would provide insight that could improve the team going forward such as more opinion and more personal responses from the team members. These responses allow the leader to accommodate and change the itinerary in order to better meet the needs of the team.
