RespondThis class has taken me on a journey. Not a bad one but it was a lot of critical thinking and having to come up with solutions for problems that I do not deal with. It was a unique class, and I met some awesome people along the way. What I found most useful was the advantages and challenges along the way of strategic planning. To reduce costs and improve quality and services one must know how to successfully plan. I learned that strategic planning has many benefits. It helps to define direction and boost productivity. I also learned that you could use frameworks to help develop and outline steps into coming up with a solid plan. Technology has advanced in many ways and will continue to advance as time goes on. Just think, we used to draw up graphs and charts and now we use technology to help us better visualize those things. Technology also can help advance medical errors and provide accurate information for patients. As we move forward technology may continue to reduce the costs in production because they reduce the need for human interaction. Entry and middle-level managers are involved in the strategic planning by making sure the goals are met. They also have responsibilities of training and making sure actions are implemented. They must be as fully involved in the strategic planning as everyone else so they can help close gaps. I wish to pursue a organization role in either risk management or Compliance.
