I had chosen a quantitative approach before, so I would use a qualitative approach design or study this time. I would use an in-depth interview outcome for the study. The purpose of in-depth interviews, a qualitative research technique, is to thoroughly examine a respondent's perspective, experiences, feelings, and perspectives. When there are questions about how to focus the study or what issues need to be investigated through the research, these types of interviews are frequently carried out at the beginning of a more significant research project.

I want to choose this type of method because I would be able to build rapport with the population; thus, the answers would be more truthful, and it can help me better understand homeless viewpoints, addiction, and how it caused their homelessness. Since an in-depth interview is a one-on-one chat, you can uncover the underlying factors influencing someone's likes and dislikes, views, or opinions. Inquiries are generally open-ended and can be tailored to the specific circumstance. "Because in-depth interviews can potentially be so insightful, it is possible to identify precious findings quickly." (Steber, 2017). The interviewer can get to know the person and build a relationship, which helps the participant feel at ease.
