As a cashier I would not feel comfortable with the performance measurement used because it does not seem realistic. The requirements for the job would not fairly help get feedback of the employees performance. Some issues that could happen is when scanning an item and the customer has questions about the item and you must explain yourself this would increase the time for the checkout. Another problem that the cashier faces is forgetting to scan items this would affect the company because it would lose money for the items not scanned. For my current position I would suggest they establish job duties for each employee and at the end of the week the manager is able to see who is meeting the standards. This would also help to see what kind of raise each employee would get for the year.
