Band Wall Construction Project Life Cycle

A project life cycle is a 5-step framework planned to assist managers to successfully complete projects (Brown L,2021). Below are the steps for the Band wall construction life cycle:

• Initiating phase: The goal is to construct a 12-meter concrete band wall in 3 weeks. The project team is selected and a project charter is developed which includes; business vision and mission, project goals and benefits, projects scope, deliverables, risk and project budget and resources.
• Planning phase: Tasks are developed for the project. Plan is to build a 12-meter band wall using concrete block and mortar including plastering and painting. Gather the project team which should include the builder and 2 helpers.
• Project Execution phase: construction of the band wall is commenced as tasked/planned.
• Monitoring and Control phase: the project is monitored to see if it is moving according to planned tasks. If there are mistakes that have occurred this is the right time to have them corrected.
• Project Closure: The 12-meter band wall is completed and reviewed if completed well, the closure report is prepared and taken for approval for both client and customer sign and agree that all set objectives have been made.
