Review the case study in the Managing & Organizing textbook found at the end of Chapter 1, and then prepare your case study analysis. On the first page of this analysis, you will also need to address the issue of psychology and its relationship to organizational behavior. Identify at least one topic in psychology that you see has a bearing on our present study. Then, explain how this works.

Write an analysis of the case study. The analysis should be four pages, not including the title and reference pages.

A case study analysis is not a summary of the assigned case study. A case study analysis requires you to investigate a business problem, examine the alternative solutions, and propose the most effective solution using supporting evidence.

Before you begin writing, follow these guidelines to help you prepare and understand the case study:

Read and examine the case thoroughly

  • Take notes, highlight relevant facts, and underline key problems.

Focus your analysis

  • Identify two to five key problems.
  • Why do they exist?
  • How do they impact the organization?
  • Who is responsible for them?

Uncover possible solutions

  • Review course readings, discussions, outside research, and your experience.

Select the best solution

  • Consider strong supporting evidence, pros, and cons. Is this solution realistic?

Formatting Expectations

  • There should be an introduction, a background (could be a brief summary), alternatives, the proposed solution(s), and a conclusion.
  • You are required to follow APA 7th ed. guidelines in your written analysis.
