Introduce themselves and the company they work for. 3. Briefly explain the terms provisional sums, prime cost items and variations as they are referenced in the contract. 4. Make sure the client understands these terms. 5. Explain how the prime cost items are costed and how a change will affect the contract price. 6. Explain what will happen if the ceramic tiles at $45/m2 are replaced by a porcelain tile at $100/m2, given that an area of 21 m2 is to be covered. 7. Note that the larger profile porcelain tiles will incur more wastage. 8. Ensure that the client understands the implications of this change. 9.
