Roleplay:

An employee has come up to you with some queries regarding the salary that they are receiving. The specific queries are:

1. Can I vary my superannuation contribution and how do I do this?
2. How much do other people in my department usually contribute to their super accounts?
3. I need to use my time in lieu, how do I do that?
4. Can I be paid on a Wednesday as that is the day when I need to pay my mortgage?

Relevant organisational policies are detailed below:

• All enquiries must only be responded after the enquirers identity has been confirmed.
• Personal details of an employee must not be disclosed to anyone other than that employee.
• Payroll enquiries must be responded to within 48 hours during business hours.
• Responses to verbal payroll enquiries must be communicated in writing within 24 hours
• Payrun only occurs on Friday and all requests for change need to occur prior to 5 pm on a Thursday.

Task In the role-play, the employee (volunteer) needs to ask you the questions listed above. You will need to respond to their questions in an appropriate manner consistent with organisational and legislative requirements.

Once the role play is done you need to prepare minutes of the meeting.
