Rome plc acquired 80% of the ordinary share capital of Milan Ltd on 1 June 2020 and also acquired 40% of the ordinary share capital of Pisa Ltd on the same date for 500,000 gaining significant influence. The group policy is to value non-controlling interest at the proportionate share of the net assets. No adjustments have been included in the financial statements for the points below. Goodwill in Milan Ltd has been impaired by 100,000 in the current year. The investment in Pisa Ltd was also found to be impaired by 50,000 at the year ended 31 December 2020. 2. 3. Intercompany sales from Milan Ltd to Rome plc were 800,000 since acquisition. These goods were sold at a mark-up of 25% and 60% of these goods remained in inventory at the year end. At the date of acquisition of Milan Ltd the fair value of a building, included in non- current assets, was 500,000 more than the book value. Rome plc's accounting policy is to depreciate buildings over 25 years and depreciation is charged to cost of sales. Required: Prepare the consolidated statement of profit and loss and other comprehensive income for the Rome Group for the year ended 31 December 2020. Include in your answer all the accounting entries for the three points above in the consolidated financial statements. (Prepare all figures in round 000s.)
