1. Rule of Law; Sources of Law.

After dinner one night, you mention to your father that you are taking a class about law and public administration.He says something to the effect that he has never been able to come to a clear understanding of what the terms 'law' and 'rule of law' mean. In fact, he goes so far as to say that, as far as he is concerned, the main concern of this country should be business and the economy, and he is puzzled by the emphasis on law in a 'free market democracy like ours.' Please identify and discuss four or five 'talking points' that you can offer to your father to help him understand the origin, focus and importance of your studies.
