Also, HR will be monitoring corporate values and being alert for conditions that encourage unethical behavior. 5 The Fruit Guys is developing, therefore, the challenges for HR at Fruit Guys in the next five years will be lacking a systematic management of human resource when the company expands. When the number of employees increases, the difficulty of sharing values, maintaining the organizational culture, and controlling organizational ethics will be increased too. Therefore, a department for HR is required significantly. 6 Running head: FRUIT GUYS 1 Compensation issues are one of the major problem that HR in smaller organizations have to face. Smaller organizations rarely have the ability to offer the same compensation as big organizations. Therefore, to attract and retain the employees, HR have to create positive organizational culture, bring everyone together, and let them be part of something bigger than themselves. Scope of work is another issue for small organizations. Employees must take more roles in the company. Like the CEO of Fruit Guys, he is playing roles of administrative assistant, marketing director, public relations representatives and so on. So it is important and difficult to hire people who have the ability and willing to take less compensation than in other large organizations. 7 For strategic, the CEO of Fruit Guys creates an positive organization culture which brings employees together and be part of the company.
