Your company is undertaking its monthly S&OP process. This is a 4 weeks exercise.
As part of the Demand Planning Department you are to review the Supply/Demand schedules prior to the Executive S&OP meeting which occurs in week 4.
Your team is to establish all of the necessary DATA to convince the Executive Team that your Demand Planning numbers are to be used by the organization.
The time horizon for your plan is 90 days. The meeting will occur on March
29 th. 2021 and the start of production is July 1st 2021.
Your product is shipped all across Canada, and sold to the consumers thru several retailers ( WMT, LCL, CTC, HD, COSTCO etc..)
You will create a shipment plan based on the population distribution across Canada.
Your production plan is based on your market share. Market share is calculated as a percentage of the total Canadian population.
You must state a forecasted number for your product and how this will be achieved the manufacturing capacity. Make sure that you add the promotional sale quantity to your forecasted number. This forcasted number is your qualitative/quantative forecast.
The promotional date for the item across Canada is July 10th - a Saturday.
You must also show a plan reflecting the transportation schedule that will be executed to have your promotional products on shelf across Canada on the same sales day.
