Sam sold Tom a redwood tree for $10,000 and agreed to plant it in his yard based on the drawing Tom gave him. Sam misread the drawing and placed the tree 3 feet south of the place on the drawing. There is nothing different about the location except it is 3 feet closer to the property line which is still aways off. Tom asked you if he should pay Sam, and asked you to explain your advice.
