In business, some say completion is always a good thing. But, it's not a good thing if you are on the losing your side. As a business owner, you must always keep in mind what competitors do to take your customers. As a consumer, it is good to have choices when it comes to eating establishments. Every time I drive past a Chick-fil-A there is always a long line in the drive-through. Even though their menu is basic, and they are closed on Sundays they seem to have loyal customers.

1. Have you ever been to Chick-fil-A or? If so, name 3 things you like about the way their business is formed and operated? Explain in detailed example(s) of your personal experiences so we can understand your views?

2. We live in an economy of free enterprise where anyone can start a business. Many businesses fail, especially during the pandemic times while others thrive. As a restaurant, what does Chick-fil-A have that sets them apart from its competition and how do you think they manage to achieve it and made them successful?

3. As a business you must recognize the existence of competition and always look to innovate. Walmart/Sams invested much time, effort, and resources to understand their competitor AKA "Chick-fil-A" to create its version of a classic chicken breast sandwich and waffle fries. Walmart/Sam certainly has the money to develop new and innovative products. Businesses must stay competitive to win consumers. Do you think it was a good business move for the company to have incurred the added costs of time and money on doing so? Why or why not, and how could it hurt or help them?

4. Competition in the chicken sandwich space is fierce. There is (Golden Chick, Chicken Express, Slim Chicken, etc.). Customers are always looking for something new and looking for a bargain. Considering many family budgets and possibly not choosing to eat out as much as before will the Members Mark Chicken Sandwich and Waffle Fries be a threat to Chick-fil-A's business? Why or why not?

5. What would you do if you were Chick-fil-A, now that you are aware of your competition trying to take your business from you? How would prevent losing even one customer?
