Sarah owns a vintage car and wants to sell it$.$ She puts up an advertisement on Monday in the

newspaper stating, "Vintage Car for Sale $-$ $$100,000."$ Please respond by Wednesday. John reads the

advertisement and immediately called Sarah, informing her that he is prepared to buy the car for

$$90,000.$ Sarah declines. Later that day James called Sarah and came over to have a look at the car.

After seeing the car James said that he is only willing to pay $$80,000$ for the Vintage car and asked

Sarah to think it over. Sarah now says that she offers to sell the car to James for $$95,000$ and nothing

less than that. James said he will revert soon. Early on Tuesday Sarah calls James and tells him that

she is withdrawing the offer, she made for $$95,000.$ James immediately tells Sarah he accepts the offer

of $$95,000.$

Later, on Tuesday, John reconsiders and wants to call Sarah to buy the car at $$100,000.$ Before he

could call Sarah, he heard from a friend that Sarah had sold the car to Ray for $$95,000.$ Immediately

John calls Sarah stating he accepts the offer of $$100,000.$ Both John and James are disappointed of

not being able to purchase the car and want to proceed against Sarah.
