Saturated liquid water at 100 kg/s flow and 70 bar pressure coming from a geothermal wellbore is throttled at a pressure of 30 bar and then steam and liquid are separated using a separator. The saturated steam is then passed through a turbine. The separated liquid is throttled again up to 10 bar and then second separation is made. The separated steam after second separation is mixed with the first stage flow through the turbine at 10 bar pressure, as shown in the figure below. The combined mass is then passed through next stage of the turbine and exited at 0.1 bar. Calculate the total work output from the turbine. The cycle diagram and T-S diagram are shown below. Assume isentropic efficiency of the turbine as 85 percent.
