Scate Pucksorly, nicknamed "the Terminator," played left wing for the renowned

Saskatchewan hockey team known as the Midsask Rats. During the last 60 seconds of that all important game against the Prudhomme Mice with the score tied one all, Scate accidentally tripped the Mice goalie, Holes Moles. Just as Moles was getting back up and before he had a chance to get into position, Scate, from behind the net, purposely clipped Moles on the back of his head with the sharp tip of his hockey stick. Luckily, at that very moment while Moles was falling over backwards against the ice, the Rat's left-winger, Sylvester Fester, fired the puck over Moles' head and scored the winning goal. There was great rejoicing in Midsask that night where all the players were wined and dined by its good citizens. Scate was named the Most Valuable Player and the recipient of the coveted "Cat Cup" emblematic of the most fair and gentlemanly player. The Mice had a very different view and complained to the league officials and police. The Mice also consulted with their lawyers. The Rats countered by claiming "hockey is tough sport, and everyone knows the legal principle of"volens"applies." Moles slowly recovered from his concussion notwithstanding a three month stay in the hospital. It would have been only a one month stay in the hospital had Moles not had a metal plate in his scalp from a previous injury.
