Both of them are getting married in the summer. During their lunch breaks, that they take in the company lunch room, they share stories of how their respective fiances are driving them crazy with all the wedding plans and their fiances' need to have them involved in every decision. Both would love it if all they had to do was just show up on the day and say "I do"! During his annual performance evaluation, a month before the wedding, the HR manager tells Jack that the newly hired accountant, Francois, has asked that Jack stop talking about his upcoming wedding as it makes him uncomfortable. Jack did not ask the HR manager what made Francois uncomfortable, but the next time he sees Francois, he tells him that he will keep his chatter about his wedding to a minimum as he gets how annoying it can be! Francois thanks him and they go back to work. At lunch that day when Abdul mentions his fiance, Jack reminds him that their HR manager told them to stop talking about the wedding. Abdul is surprised, as the HR manager did not say anything to him during his performance evaluation. Jack is surprised and tells Abdul specifically what the HR manager said and his subsequent conversation with Francois. Later that day, Abdul apologizes to Francois for all the wedding chatter and like Jack, tells Francois he will keep the wedding talk to a minimum. Francois tells Abdul he's happy for Abdul that he's getting married wishes him all the best and says he can talk about his wedding as much as he likes, he just does not want to hear another word about the "gay guy's wedding". He then goes on to remark that it's disgraceful that a reputable firm like theirs would hire openly gay men. Abdul was so shocked, he left without saying a word. He did however, tell Jack what Francois said. Jack and Abdul decide to ignore the comments and they continue to talk about their weddings and their fiances without any further thought to Francois
