Scenario 1: You are a Management Accountant. You are responsible for providing support to the Marketing department in your organisation. Your core duties are as follows: 1. Liaise with the Marketing Director and the Category Managers to assist them to develop the annual budget for marketing campaigns. Marketing spend is determined as a % of budgeted turnover but the marketing department has full discretion on how the funds are allocated to individual campaigns, stafng etc. 2. To provide detailed monthly nancial reports to the Marketing Director and the Category Managers showing monthly and year to date expenditure compared to corresponding period in previous year and current year budget. Include a commentary analysing the expenditure and explaining variances. 3. Meet with all stakeholders at least quarterly and review planned expenditure. Advise stakeholders on any changes to budgets demanded by senior management such as spending cuts to budgets. Use all data to update forecast annual expenditure and provide recommendations on changes required to ensure spending meets with approved budget. 4. A hoc duties
