Scenario IIIn an effort to improve teaching practices in university classrooms, the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Cave Hill has implemented a series of four courses which form the Postgraduate Certificate in University Teaching & Learning. After three years of funding the programme the campus vice-principal is interested in finding out about what happened in the programme, its effectiveness and the impact of this programme on teaching and learning in the campus.

1. What type of question is/are the main evaluation question(s)? Give a rationale for your response.

2. How would you identify the most important outcomes to measure? How would you measure them?

3. What evaluation design elements would you use? Why?

4. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your design?

5. Are there any issues that you can foresee with this evaluation?
