SCENARIO Justin You have been observing Justin since the incident that occurred in Case Study 1 (refer to Assessment Task 2). Justin told you last week that Paul had left their house and he was glad because he didn't like him. Justin was still very quiet and withdrawn. Today he came to the service and was obviously upset. When you asked him what was wrong, he told you that Paul had come back to the house last night when his mum was out buying some cigarettes. Paul was yelling and angry because his mother wasn't there. He started yelling at Justin and telling him that it was his fault that he couldn't live there with his mother and he was just a nuisance. Then Justin started to cry and said he didn't want to talk about it anymore and went off to sit on his own. (The role play begins here.)

Part B: Report to Supervisor and Director

Based on your interaction with Justin, you briefly mentioned this to Hayley, your Director. Hayley's instructions were: Please complete the Report of Suspected Abuse on the Service Template. As soon as you have done this, please come back to me, and we will go through what the next steps are for supporting Justin. Write a full and detailed report using the template provided: Be an accurate account of disclosures by Justin, previous history of the situation and observations that have been made. Include indicators, symptoms and signs of suspected abuse. Include all the information as specified in the Little.ly Child Protection Policy. Be professionally written so that it could be used to provide information to child protection, the police, and the court process. Be written in a non-judgmental manner. Be written using Microsoft Word or other similar word processing software. Some information has been put into the template for you. Demonstrate your understanding of the requirements within your role according to legislation, ethics and policies and procedures.
