Scenario

You become the HIM Manager at a facility that has been operating for many years. You soon realize the written policies for the HIM department are not up to your personal standards. After collaboration with your CEO, you decide that new written policies are required. Due to organizational priorities, the first HIM areas to address with written policy are Information Governance (IG) and use of analytical tools to integrate business intelligence (BI).

Your assignment for this class is not to write the actual policy (or policies), but rather to describe your approach to forming and leading a team to write the policy (or policies) for IG and BI. Submit a post to this forum that addresses these questions at a minimum:

• How would you identify and engage appropriate stakeholders to write policy for IG and BI?
