ScenariolAs part of your work experience as a junior Engineer you have been asked to use the skills learned in the previous task to write a report on different material properties and material selection criteria. Engineers write reports about tasks that they have undertaken but it is not just the final report that is important - it is also necessary to have a full record of all the information used in its preparation. Data must be collected, collated, edited, and stored, so that it can be referred to at a later date. An engineering report may contain information obtained from a number of different sources and in varying formats. Task 1 (P6) You are to write a 1000-word technical report on the different materials used within the engineering sector. The report is to contain information related to Ferrous, Non-Ferrous and Composite Materials within the report refer to the advantages, disadvantages and common Applications of each of the material types. Your work should be word processed with an expected word count of circa 1000 words Refer to the attached additional information for a list of suggested references. Your work should be in the correct format for a report and include references of different types (at least two internet and two book references) In compiling your report, you should utilise sources of information which you feel is appropriate, * Internet * Technical reports * Data sheets, Test data Task 2 (M2) Based on the reference material you used in Task 1, assess their usefulness in writing your report.
