EXECUTIVE SUMMARY John and Michelle are going to get married. They met in college and were meeting for last 4 years. After graduation from college, they got engaged. Currently they are planning their wedding party. Taking into account, that they have no job and only small amount of savings, John's grandmother will support them with funds. Michelle discussed the approximate costs of wedding party with her sister, who got married last year, and figured out that they need at least 45 000 CAD. In case of any unpredicted circumstances John is able to provide additional funding of 3 000 CAD. They will invite 200 people to their wedding party. The young couple decided to host a party this winter, 19 th Dec 2015. They want to begin preparations in advance, because it is complicated to book a church and a restaurant for the same day. The local wedding agency \"Super Wed.\" will undertake the preparation of their wedding party. 4 2. BUSINESS OBJECTIVE 5 1.1. Business Need/Opportunity/Objectives Plan and execute John's and Michelle's wedding party without delays. Follow the scope and requirements provided by young couple Do not overrun the budget Keep guests and clients satisfied during the party. Organize whoop-up party next day after wedding Organize honeymoon trip 6 1.2. Product Description Super Wed. company will organize wedding for John and Michelle. Project team will be responsible for all phases from planning till closeout. The bride wants a classic, white, long dress. The groom will wear classic suit with tie. All ceremonies and party must take place during one day, 19 th of December. Church at the morning 11:00 AM, and wedding party at 6:00 PM. Wedding rings should be made of gold without diamonds, but classic and elegant. Wedding cake should be 3-tier round fondant with flowers, big enough for 200 guests. Our team will rent a reception for party. Food and drinks will be served using buffet option. We will also rent a car for young couple. Reception, church and car will be decorated by natural flowers. Super Wed is working in cooperation with 5 photographers, and couple will review their portfolios before pick up one. John and Michelle will also pick up one band from the list of proposed bands which will play at the evening 19th Dec. Next day after party, 20th of December, the young couple will leave town for 10 days' honeymoon in Hawaii's. In addition, next day after wedding, a whoop-up party for friends and close relatives will be organized in another place. All questions must be resolved without involvement of project Sponsor. John and Michelle will be contacted by project team directly. 7 1.3. SCOPE STATEMENT The main purpose of this project is to organize the wedding party and honeymoon for Sponsor's grandson John, who is going to get married with Michelle on December 19th. The young couple has sufficient budget and wants to organize their wedding in classical style and invite 200 guests. Local wedding agency Super Wed. will take care about preparation of wedding party, honeymoon and whoop-up party for friends and close relatives. There are few mandatory objectives regarding wedding preparations: wedding party must be conducted 19th of Dec, next day couple must leave for their honeymoon trip, on 20th of Dec the whoop-up party must be conducted and wedding pictures should be ready before their arrival after honeymoon on 31th of Dec. Wedding dress for bride and suit for groom will be provided 2 days before wedding. Rings will be delivered to groom's place 2 days before 19th of Dec. Hair dresser and make-up professional will work with bride at the morning 19 Dec, before arrival of photographer. The photographer will be working with young couple from early morning, 9:00 AM. Transportation will be provided; car, church and wedding reception will be decorated with natural flowers by Super Wed professionals at the morning 19th Dec. Groomsmen and bridesmaids will arrive to groom's and bride's place at 9:00 AM. Using wedding car, the groom with groomsmen will arrive to bride's place at 10:00 AM. The official wedding day will begin with wedding ceremony in Church at 11:00 AM After wedding ceremony, the young couple will have a photo session at different city places. Cake will be delivered to the restaurant at 3:00 PM. John and Michelle will arrive to their wedding party at 6:00 PM. The sequence of wedding speeches will be managed by Super Wed. agency. The music band will be paying till 11:00 PM. After wedding party, John and Michelle will spend one night in hotel Plaza and next day they will leave for their honeymoon. Upon their arrival, their wedding photos will be available for review. 12 1.7.
