A train driver passes a red danger signal that causes a collision. The driver failed to stop in time and overran the red signal causing multiple fatalities. One hundred and twenty of the commuters sustained critical injuries in the incident. After the accident, a decision was made by management to layoff some train drivers while current train divers are working long hours with trains not regularly serviced.
