student may struggle to get interviews and/or a job. Let the state of the economy be a random
variable. The same can be said about the number of job interviews that a student gets invited to. In
the end of the day, the number of interviews that a student needs to go on before they secure a
position after graduation is a jointly distributed random variable given with the table
