Securing Files

Password protecting a file or folder allows a user's file(s) to remain safe and unable to be deleted, even if a third party has gained access to their computer. Encrypting a file or folder essentially jumbles up the information inside of the file, rendering it unreadable to anyone who accesses it. The only way to then see the document in its original state is to use a key to decrypt or unscramble the contents.
