Select a government agency or a nonprofit organization. From documents available to you (budgets, financial reports, mission statements, legislation, media reporting, etc.) and your general knowledge about that entity, do the following: (a) identify the inputs used by the entity (personnel, contractual services, etc.), (b) identify the activities or outputs produced by the entity, and (c) identify the measurable performance outcomes of that entity. What new data systems (testing, sampling, surveying, etc.) might be necessary to produce the outcome measures? What environmental influences outside the easy control of the entity are important in shaping those measured outcomes? What budget classification system or systems does the entity currently use in its budget processes
