Select a project for the group assignment, and create the project charter and the work breakdown structure (WBS).

Requirements for the Project are:

The planned Project requires at least four project team members to do the work;

The total duration (from start to finish) should be a minimum of 15 weeks and a maximum of 30 weeks; and

The Project will have a non-zero budget to complete the work - that is, it will need to spend budget to purchase materials and pay the project team members for the work completed. It's recommended that your team selects a project that they know something about and are interested in its outcome. You are creating a story of a project that will require some imagination on your part regarding the company name, stakeholders, project team members, etc. The content and purpose of your Project should be respectful of others and not involve discrimination of any type.

Specific document requirements include: All fields in the Project Charter should be completed. Your goals should be specific and measurable. Do not generalize your goals, but instead use specific numerical values where appropriate Your objectives should be specific outcomes that are required in order to meet the project goals. Your Project Budget should be a specific dollar amount. Do not include a range of dollar amounts. Include at least four key stakeholders. Include at least three overall project risks. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) No specific template is being provided. You may use either a Tree Diagram or List Format. Ill show in-class the WBS options. Specific document requirements include: Create the WBS using MS Word. Include at least three levels, i.e., the Project plus two additional levels. Include at least 20 work packages. Collectively, the work packages shall contain 100% of the scope of the Project. (i.e., follow the 100% rule)
