Select a System:

choose a system of your choice, if you are using a well$-$known system such as Amazon, identify a problem you want to address using Design, and create paper prototypes to propose a solution. If you are choosing a unique system $($may be from your past projects$),$ its an opportunity to extend that project by designing paper prototypes that intends to solve a common user issues in that system.

Identify the Problem:

Clearly define the problem you aim to solve with your prototype. Consider user needs, pain points, and any gaps in the Usability.

Research:

Conduct brief research to understand how existing solutions address similar problems and identify opportunities for innovation or improvement.

Design Principles:

Articulate the design principles you will apply to solve the identified problem. These may include all principles and techniques we have discussed in the class so far.

Create Paper Prototypes:

Design paper prototypes of your solution. Your prototypes should focus on key interactions and features that address the problem. Ensure they are detailed enough to convey your design intent.

Write a Report:

Introduction: Briefly describe the system the problem you aim to solve.

Problem Description: Detail the problem, supported by your research findings.

Design Principles and Rationale: Explain the design principles you applied and why they are appropriate for your solution.

Prototype Description: Describe the part of the system it represents, the interactions it facilitates, and how it addresses the problem.

Reflection: Discuss any challenges you faced during the prototyping process and how you overcame them. Reflect on what you learned and how you might improve your design further.
