Select a variable of interest to you that you can record the frequency of results. Your variable must be quantitative, no categories, etc. where you assign values. You must have at least 30 data values. Your PowerPoint slides must include: 1. Explain what variable you chose to collect data on and why you chose it. (3 points maximum) 2. Describe the sampling method(s) in detail that you used to collect your data. (3 points maximum) 3. Explain anything that could have affected your results. (3 points maximum) 4. Define your population and sample. (2 points maximum) 5. Include a data table with your raw data (30 minimum). (2 points maximum) 6. Do some calculations (do not show the work!): a. Measures of Central Tendency (mean, median, mode) (3 points maximum) b. Measures of Dispersion (range, standard deviation, variance) (3 points maximum) C. Measures of Position for an example, explaining what they all mean as well (z-score, quartiles, interquartile range, outliers) (4 points maximum) 7 . Provide some graphs and tables (make sure that everything has titles, labels, etc.): a. Frequency Table (3 points maximum) b. Bar Graph made from your data or Frequency Table (3 points maximum) C. Pie Chart made from your Frequency Table (3 points maximum) d. Boxplot (3 points maximum) e. One of your choice (3 points maximum) 8. Include at least one other thing relevant to your project that we have learned so far. Explain why you chose what you chose and what it told you. (4 points maximum) 9. Summarize your project and thoughts, including extensions, how it could be done differently, etc. (4 points maximum) 10. Add a voice-over to your PowerPoint. (4 points maximum)
