Sequence of Tasks 1. Conduct a thorough survey of relevant national, regional and international drinking water requirement guidelines and establish a justified design basis in terms of water demand. 2. Make all necessary calculations to design the various components of the water distribution network, including the storage tank, transfer pipes and submersible pumps. 3. Select appropriate materials for the storage tank and pipes and select a pump brand and model that will be necessary to be used in your design. Justify your choices. 4. Carry out basic cost estimation and energy requirements for your water supply network. 5. Explain in depth what water quality parameters are to be monitored, how the monitoring will be done and how you will make sure that the tap water is potable.
