Serena Johnson owns and manages a Beauty Salon in Hornsby. Serena accepts only cash payments from her customers. Any of her staff can collect payments from her customers, and put the collected cash into the cash register. As the business closes late and opens early daily, there is no time to count the money in the cash register. The cash register is accessible by all staff members at all times. Customers are only given a receipt if they ask for one, but this is not encouraged. Also, any delivery of goods is always paid on delivery in cash and the money to pay for the goods delivered is taken from the cash register. The total from the cash register is produced each month for the businesss bookkeeper to prepare the business activity statements.
