Sexual Harassment

A female staff nurse was assigned to care for a middle-aged male patient with a pulmonary diagnosis of a chronic nature. The patient has a history of frequent admissions and is often admitted to the same nursing unit. Throughout his admission, he consistently tells the nurse dirty jokes, makes intimate comments about her physical appearance and sex life, and sports a nude poster on the wall in his room. The climate created by this patient makes the nurse want to avoid going into the patients room.
