The War for Resources. Please discuss the strategy being followed by China in pursuit of required resource inputs, particularly oil and gas. What different form of payment is China using in some developing countries? What group objected to that payment method, and why did they object? Why is China willing to pay substantially more, at times, than the Western firms have in the past? What two factors (one on the demand side, one on supply) will determine whether or not China has overpaid for assets in recent years?
