Should tobacco companies be allowed to sponsor sporting events? Tobacco companies bring substantial sponsorship money and it could be argued that in certain sports, the advances of the past 20 years could not have been made without their money. The companies have always argued that their advertising is not to encourage people to start smoking, but to persuade existing smokers to switch to their brand. Should we accept it?
