Since 1953, China's Five-Year Plans (FYPs) have formed the cornerstone of the country's socio-economic development. While the FYPs largely focus on the domestic economy, the spillover effects are evident in the international arena. Moreover, given China's (re-)emergence as a great power, the recent FYPs have substantial global consequences. Assess China's current Five-Year Plan and critically evaluate the geo-economic and geopolitical implications of the Plan.
