Situation You are the CIO of a $33B multinational conglomerate. The conglomerate is headquartered in Chicago You have a matrix organization. Heads of major geographies report to you. Heads of major groups report to you (Applications, Infrastructure, etc) You have a staff of admins and worldwide IT purchasing that reports to you.
