SMQ1034 Optimization Methods ANSWER THE QUESTION (20 MARKS): 1. Norman, Yusry and Edry are siblings and they are handling their family business which produces fine tables. Norman and Yusry each are available to work a maximum of 40 hours per week at the company, while Edry is available to work a maximum of 20 hours per week. The company makes oak tables and pine tables. To make a table, Norman assembles the parts of the table while Yusry produces the hand carved wood casings. Edry is responsible for taking orders and shipping the tables. The amount of time required for each of these tasks is shown in Table 1 below. Table 1 Time Required (Hour) Oak Table Pine Table Assemble Table 6 Carve wood casing Shipping Each oak table yields a profit of RM250 and each pine table yields a profit of RM100.
