Snow Storm, a new small ski resort in the Rockies is facing financial difficulties. It is located in a small town in Colorado, and although it has some nice and challenging courses, most tourists are not aware of it and tend to go to the better-known resorts in Aspen and Vail.

The resort opened 5 years ago, and although it is offering competitive prices, the attendance has not been as high as it should be given the quality and variety of the skiing options available. In a recent meeting, the resort management was told by a consulting company that expanding the facilities (building a new hotel plus indoor pools and two new bars) would go a long way in improving the visitors’ experiences. The problem is that the company does not have the money, and bank loans would be too expensive. They would need to attract more investors.
