what about ourselves?how should we use social media like Facebook etc?I have seen someone running into a wall while looking at the phone while walking.is this what it is suppose to be, absorbing all our times?what about smelling the roses, enjoying our families, friends?In China, they average about 6-7 hours a day of usage, it is registered as an addiction by govt already.

and in addition, when the Facebookof the world does not believe they have any responsibility regarding mis-information, false ID, etc.manipulating facts and some folks won't even know it.I am from the old school, back in the days of news print, they all have a sense of code of ethic that they will not cross, or it is a professional suicide.now, Facebook of the world does not really care.They think of themselves as a tech company, nothing to do with distribution of contents.This is not going to end well.for us and for them.

another issue is these companies, like Facebook, are using our private information to gain revenue by selling our info to others, or use them to decide which ads should be displayed for each of us.sometimes that cross the privacy line quite a bit.of course, consumers are usually quite uninformed in these so we just keep doing this without understanding about the potential impact to our privacy etc.but people will eventually find out, as we have.so at least in US, the time usage of Facebookand the number of users have both decline the last few years.that is another hugeproblem that they have to deal with in terms of social responsibility and privacy.
