Soalan/Question 1 Diamond Berhad telah memulakan satu perniagaan pembuatan yang baharu pada 2 Januari 2016. Syarikat telah membeli sebuah bangunan sebaik sahaja memulakan operasi pada harga RM60,000,000. Usia guna bangunan tersebut ialah 20 tahun dan tiada nilai sisa untuk bangunan ini. Bangunan tersebut telah disusutnilaikan dengan menggunakan kaedah garis lurus. Beberapa bangunan di sekitar kawasan tersebut telah ditinggalkan kosong. Diamond Berhad starts a new manufacturing business on 2 January 2016. It has purchased a building immediately after starting the operation at a price of RM60,000,000. The useful life of the building is 20 years and it is estimated that there is no residual value for this building. The building has been depreciated using a straight line method. Several other buildings in the immediate area have recently been left vacant. Pada akhir tahun 2016, Diamond Berhad telah membuat anggaran berikut untuk bangunan tersebut: At the end of 2016, Diamond Berhad estimates the followings relating to the building: 1) Baki usia guna bangunan tersebut ialah 13 tahun; The remaining useful life of the building is 13 years; 2) Anggaran aliran tunai yang boleh diperolehi daripada bangunan tersebut adalah RM3,500,000 setahun dan perbelanjaan yang diperlukan untuk menyelengarakan bangunan tersebut ialah RM1,000,000; The cash inflows expected to be generated from the building is RM3,500,000 per year and expenses to maintain the building is RM1,000,000; 3) Nilai saksama bangunan tersebut adalah RM2,300,000; The fair value of the building is RM2,300,000; 4) Yuran perundangan dan cukai setem yang dibayar untuk melupuskan bangunan tersebut adalah RM150,000 dan RM100,000; dan, Legal fees and stamp duties paid in relating to disposal of the building are RM150,000 and RM100,000 respectively; and, 5) Kadar faedah pasaran adalah 7%. The market prevailing interest rate is 7%. Dikehendaki/Required: i) Terangkan dengan jelas samada bangunan tersebut telah mengalami kejatuhan nilai. Explain clearly whether or not the building is impaired. (10 markah/marks) ii) Sediakan keratan penyata kedudukan kewangan untuk Diamond Berhad pada 31 Disember 2016 selepas semua catatan pelarasan di akhir tahun telah dilakukan. Prepare the partial statement of financial position for the company as at 31 December 2016 after all financial year end adjustments are done
