Using your Informative Speech topic, imagine you v | | de!ver your final presentation to an audience who is familiar with the topic and all hold the - p posing viewpoint to the one you plan to argue in your persuasive speech. For example, let's say your topic is dress codes in public high schools. You've delivered an informative speech on the history and purpose of dress codes. Now, you plan to argue that dress codes are outdated, potentially sexist and racist, and should be abolished. If your audience is anyone with an opposing view, it could be parents of high school students, teachers, students, high school principals, superintendents, school board officials, etc. Your analysis can focus on any, some, or all of these different stakeholders. Decide who your primary audience will be, and analyze why that particular group may all hold an opposing view to your own argument or solution. You will need to conduct new research (at least 2 new sources) for this assignment, focusing on your audience and their opposing views to your own. Why do they think the way they do and what factors might influence them?
