Social Media Ethics

The focus of our Apply assignment this week is on the impact of the intentional and even unintentional use of social media. As such, reflect on the case study by Watson and Lopiano(2016) and then consider the well-known and real-life case of a PR executive whomade a tweet that led to her being fired(Johnson, 2015) and then the piece from the reporter who blew up the tweet(Biddle, 2014). What lessons learned, in alignment with our readings, do you take away as lessons learned for your own use of social media?
