Some Americans support banning TikTok due to concerns about its potential threat to national security, while others believe that banning TikTok restricts people's right to express themselves and oppose the ban. A group of economists wanted to investigate if American adults in general would support or oppose banning TikTok. They surveyed 1,006 adults. 524 adults supported banning TikTok and 482 opposed it.
