Since the space is not adequate at present location, it was decided to shift the factory to a new location which is about 25 kms away from its present site.
Anuar as the employee will faced the transferring to the new site were living in the town nearby of previous location. As the member of union, Anuar is asking his Trade Union increasing of RM250 per month in the salary but the Company offered to give RM 50 only to cover the cost of transportation. When the factory was being shifted to the new site, negotiations went on uninterrupted between the Management and the Union on several issues, however both parties could not come to a settlement even after 7 months of shifting to a new facility. The Management was firm on their decision. The Union also refused to compromise fully on the issue and they adopted goslow strategy to pressurize the Management. Consequently, the production went down drastically
