Sonny inherited several pieces of antique weapons such as antique swords, rapiers, pole arms and guns from his late grandfather. He contacted Hasan, a dealer, who knew the collector of antique weapons and had a large number of potential customers. Sonny instructed Hasan to find a buyer for the antique weapons and the price for each antique weapon is at least RM20,000.00. He is also entitled to claim 5% commission from the sale. Hasan also decided to place an advertisement about the sale of antique weapons in the local newspaper. Sonny refused to pay for the price of the advertisement as he had never authorised Hasan to do so. Hasan sold one of the antique swords for RM30,000. He wanted to claim the commission from Sonny.
