Sophie is a real movie buff and, since her childhood, her all-time favourite movie has been Forrest Gump. The movie has inspired Sophie to reach for the stars and persevere. Another passion of Sophie's is food. When she started working as a pastry chef in the suburb of Windsor, she found out that she had a unique talent for desserts and especially decorative chocolates. On a cold Melbourne evening while watching her favourite movie for inspiration, she had a bright idea to start her own company. She instantly knew what to name it, Box of Chocolates Pty Ltd ('Box of Chocolates') and she quickly came up with a slogan 'Box of Chocolates, because you should always know what you are getting'. Box of Chocolates has become quite recognisable all over Melbourne and it is frequently featured on social media. The pieces of chocolates are displayed in a simplistic box that has printed 'Know what you're getting' on it in a handwriting type of style that mimics Sophie's actual handwriting. Sophie has specifically chosen this design to draw the attention of the public to the chocolates inside and not so much the packaging. Sophie does 3 different types of chocolate shapes that each adapts the physical features of an animal but in bright colours. E.g. one of the chocolates is shaped as a penguin but it is in a beautiful blue, purple and pink colour scheme. Sophie is afraid some of her competitors may start imitating her chocolates due to its popularity especially on social media. To avert this, Sophie wants to register the shapes combined with the bright colour scheme as a trademark.
